Abstract: | Some aspects of resonances in nuclear physics are discussed. Their properties are studied and it is shown how to obtain them numerically in realistic situations for experimental detection. Particular attention is given to resonances in non-spherical potentials that represent deformed exotic nuclei, and their trajectories in the complex energy plane are followed. |
