Abstract: | A procedure was developed for the atomic emission determination of antimony, zinc, and bismuth in bird and fish ash using
thermochemical iodination reactions in a chamber electrode of an alternating current (ac) carbon arc. A mixture of cadmium
iodide and carbon powder was used as an iodination agent. The relative standard deviation of the procedure was 10–15%. The
minimum detection limit was 2.1 × 10−4, 7.5 × 10−5, and 1.2 × 10−4% for antimony, bismuth, and zinc, respectively. |
