Determination of Vitamin C Formulations by Oscillographic Titration with Potassium Ferricyanide

Oscillographic titration with K 3[Fe(CN) 6] as a titrating agent is studied.The method is based on the oxidation_reduction reaction between K 3[Fe(CN) 6] and vitamin C.In 0.5?mol/L HCl solution,K 3[Fe(CN) 6] standard solution titrates vitamin C in the real tablet formulations.K 3[Fe(CN) 6] gives a sharp oscillographic incision,which can be used to indicate the end point of titration.Simple,accurate and sharp,the method is applied to determine vitamin C in real tablet formulations with satisfactory results.
