Abstract:The operation principle for dye sensitized solar cells and the factors affecting the efficiency are introduced.Recent advances of novel designs of dyes,including ruthenium complexes,amine,porphyrins and phthalocyanines,which are applied in dye sensitized solar cells,are reviewed.In this paper,structure-property relationship of dyes is also discussed.
