| Abstract: | A stepwise two-photon excitation is used to record elementary volume phase holograms in LiTaO3:Fe crystals. We demonstrate readout without erasure, however, desired optical erasure via two-photon processes is still possible. Time, intensity, and Fe-concentration dependence of refractive index change are investigated and can be explained by the known photorefractive process in this material. |
