| Abstract: | 2‐Acyl‐3‐aminonaphtho[2,1‐b]furan ( 1 ) reacts with activated methylene such as malono nitrile or ethyl cyanoacetate to afford naphtho[1′,2′:4,5]furo[3,2‐b]pyridine 2a,b . Chloroacylation of the amino group in compound ( 1 ) gave compound 3 which reacts with different amines to produce compound 4 . |
