| Abstract: | Some new substituted indocarbocyanine dyes were synthesized by condensatim of (un) substituted 2.3,3-trimethylindolenine ethiodide with ethyl orthoformate in pyridine. Based on UV -vis spectral data and fluresent spectral data, the effect of different substituents on spectral properties of these dyes was presented and disscussed. |
