| Abstract: | The boundary-layer flow close to the crystal-melt interface,and at the free surface of the melt, in Czochralski crystalgrowth in the presence of an axial magnetic field, is examined.Particular attention is devoted to the effective segregationcoefficient and to the inhibiting effect of the magnetic fieldupon the forced convective radial flow. |
