Abstract: | Porcine kidney tissue or Sarcina Flava bacterial cells are used as biocatalysts for the conversion of glutamine to ammonia, which is monitored with a gas-sensing membrane electrode in an automated flow system. Conversion to ammonia is 100% for ? 10-4 M glutamine. |
