| Abstract: | D-friedours-14-en-11α, 12α-epoxy-3β-yl palmitate (1), a new pentacyclic triterpene of the ursane series, was isolated from the aerial parts of Ecdysanthera rosea, and the structure was elucidated on the basis of the spectral data. The partial synthesis of this compound from α-amyrin acetate via a few steps was also achieved. |
