| Abstract: | Summary 2-Butyne-1,4-diol, 2-butyne-1,4-diol diacetate, and 1,4-dichloro-2-butyne exist in cisoid and transoid forms because of the operation of factors hindering free rotation of individual groups of atoms in these molecules around the corresponding single bonds. |
