| Abstract: | A novel efficient synthesis of 2-N-(benzob]thiophen-2-yl)benzo and heterofused-1,2,3-triazoles was achieved by the diazotisation of 2-amino-4,5,6,7-tetrahydrobenzob]thiophene-3-carbonitrile and ethyl-2-amino-4,5,6,7-tetrahydrobenzob]thiophene-3-carboxylate and coupling with selected aromatic and heterocyclic amines followed by air oxidation in the presence of cupric acetate. |
