| Abstract: | An experimental investigation of striking Us and running Ur voltages in a glow discharge for the combinations cathode material Fe—gas filling Ne with and without Hg has been carried out. It has been shown that Hg addings increase running voltage Ur in the whole pressure range p under investigation. At the same time striking voltage Us is decreased in the whole investigated range of Paschen curve. The additional effects, which occur in the discharge with Hg addings, have been discussed. A qualitative explanation of the obtained results is adduced. |
