Abstract:A recursive direct binary search (DBS) algorithm for synthesizing binary computer- generated holograms is analyzed. The optimal approach has been presented by imposing a random Phase π on the desired object and modifying the conditions of the acceptable inversion. A set of parameters are established to evaluate a computer holography algorithm, the computation complexity and the recondruction quality of the optimal recursive DBS algorithm are analyzed. The results show that the optimal recursive DBS algorithm substantially reduces the computational complexity and obviously improves the reconstruction quality.
