| Abstract: | Abstract In this paper, we discuss the properties and applications of a kind of differential/algebraic equations: Ay' + by = g(t), where A is a symmetric semi-positive definite matrix and B is the sum of a symmetric positive definite matrix and an an-symmetric matrix. It is proved that the problem is a problem with index 1 and its analytic solution is stable. Then, numerical methods of DAE's are applied to degenerate parabolic problems. Numerical experiments are given. |
