| Abstract: | Differential fluorometry with sodium dithionite showed pterin-like signals in extracts of Phycomyces sporangiophores. After iodine oxidation, pterin, biopterin and neopterin could be separated. The concentrations determined for these three pterins exceed the calculated minimal concentration of 3 times 10?7M for the photoreceptor. |
