Abstract:The numerical analysis of three dimensional unsteady viscous flow caused by rotor/statorinteraction in axial transonic turbomachineries was carried out in this paper. The high resolution time-marching finite difference solution of Navier-Stocks equations was made withNND scheme. Decreasing the CPU time, LU-SGS implicit method was used to calculate theinitial steady flow for unsteady flow computation. The numerical results for the first stageof a transonic compressor with this method show that the unsteady effect introduced by rotor/stator interaction and its influences on flow in turbomachinery was predicted effectively.
