A new condensation principle

Abstract:We generalize nabla(A), which was introduced in [Schinfin], to larger cardinals. For a regular cardinal kappa>aleph0 we denote by nablakappa(A) the statement that MediaObjects/s00153-004-0227-1flb1.gif and for all regular theta>kappa,MediaObjects/s00153-004-0227-1flb2.gifis stationary in MediaObjects/s00153-004-0227-1flb3.gifIt was shown in [Schinfin] that MediaObjects/s00153-004-0227-1flb4.gif can hold in a set-generic extension of L. We here prove that MediaObjects/s00153-004-0227-1flb5.gif can hold in a set-generic extension of L as well. In both cases we in fact get equiconsistency theorems. This strengthens results of [Rä00] and [Rä01].
