Some Oxovanadium(IV) Complexes with C2v Symmetry

Synthesis of few oxovanadium (IV) complexes of C_2v symmetry with low symmetry β-diketones is described. Magnetic, infrared and electronic spectral studies of the complexes are reported. Splitting of the xy → xz, yz transition is observed at 77°K and is believed to be of vibrational origin.
