| Abstract: | The phenomenological theory broadly applicable to magnetic transitions in ferrimagnetic garnets is discussed briefly. The experimental techniques, particularly nuclear magnetic resonance and Mössbauer effect spectroscopy, are then reviewed. Finally, there is a review of the results on specific garnets which undergo such transitions. Some remaining problems are pointed out. |
