Abstract: | Charge transfer complexes of a series of p-substituted dimethylanilines with C60 fullerenes were studied by electron absorption spectroscopy. Energies of charge transfer bonds depend on three effects of substituents in the donor molecule (the inductive, resonance, and polarization effects) with domineering of the resonance effect. The energies are linearly proportional to the potentials of electrochemical oxidation of aniline derivatives. |
