Abstract: | The interaction of a powerful femtosecond laser pulse with a thin aluminum foil containing a hydrogen admixture is investigated. The calculations in question are performed for actual ion charges and at a solid-state density. The investigation is carried out with the aid of the previously developed theory of interaction of powerful short laser pulses with plasmas. This theory is based on constructing propagators for plasma-particle distributions. The calculated fast-proton distributions are in good agreement with experimental data. |
