| Abstract: | Experimental Compton profiles of water have been corrected for multiple scattering effects and compared with calculated profiles available from wavefunctions of various types. Small but still existing differences between the experimental result and the result obtained from a near Hartree—Fock function (less than 2% at J(0)) suggest the inclusion of the effects of intermolecular bonding into the calculation. |
