| Abstract: | A series of SO2-4/ZrO2-SiO2catalysts with different SiO2 amount were prepared by coprecipitation andcoating methods. The effect of adding SiO2 into ZrO2 on thecrystallization, surface area, sulfur content, superacidity of SO2-4/ZrO2and cumene cracking and iso-propanol dehydration was studied in detail. Adding SiO2into ZrO2 retarded the crystallization and phase transformation of ZrO2,and decreased solid superacidity of SO2-4/ZrO2, butenhanced the catalytic activities of SO2-4/ZrO2 forcumene cracking and iso-propanol dehydration. |
