| Abstract: | A series of SO2-4/ZrO2-SiO2
catalysts with different SiO2 amount were prepared by coprecipitation and
coating methods. The effect of adding SiO2 into ZrO2 on the
crystallization, surface area, sulfur content, superacidity of SO2-4/ZrO2
and cumene cracking and iso-propanol dehydration was studied in detail. Adding SiO2
into ZrO2 retarded the crystallization and phase transformation of ZrO2,
and decreased solid superacidity of SO2-4/ZrO2, but
enhanced the catalytic activities of SO2-4/ZrO2 for
cumene cracking and iso-propanol dehydration. |
