Abstract: | The scheme of the oxidative transformations of toluene, ethyl- and propylbenzene, and styrene during their chemisorption from a helium-oxygen mixture on the surface of a hydrated manganese dioxide under precatalysis conditions has been experimentally substantiated. These reactions lead to the formation of benzoate (toluene) or benzoate and formate (ethyl-, propylbenezene, styrene) structures on the surface.L. V. Pisarzhevskii Institute of Physical Chemistry.
