Abstract:A planar waveguide was formed in Fe-doped LiNbO3 crystal by MeV He ion implantation. The refractjve index profiles of the waveguide before and after annealing are compared. The experiments carried out on two wave mixing in the ion-implanted waveguide by prism coupling method showed that the waveguide was photorefractive.
