Moments of inertia of fissioning isomers |

| Abstract: | The moments of inertia of ground states and fissioning isomers of 236U and 240Pu are calculated within the cranking model by modifying the pairing interaction. In both cases the measured and calculated values agree if the pairing strength is independent of the surface area. |
