| Abstract: | The non-equivalence of pseudoscalar and pseudovector coupling of a pion to a Dirac nucleon in the presence of a scalar-vector potential is analysed and found to be strongly related to the magnitude of spin-orbit splitting. The concept of a Galilean invariant vertex operator turns out to be unjustified for a bound nucleon. |
