A general scheme for computation of instanton effects

Abstract:A general approach to the computation of instanton effects without invoking an ad hoc cut-off on their size is illustrated here by the computation of instanton contributions to the static QQ potential and vacuum polarization. Our results suggest that the instanton effects are much smaller than perturbative effects in the region where both may be reliably computed.
