Nonlinear evolution of periodic gas perturbations

Abstract:A system of equations describing a 1-D nonsteady gas flow with a power law dependence of pressure on density is considered. General solutions of this system were obtained for several special cases. The problem of a periodic gas flow with respect to a spatial coordinate is solved. An analogy with an initial system of equations that describes the motion of quasi-gaseous media is presented.
