| Abstract: | Fluctuations about a nonequilibrium steady state of a nematic liquid crystal subject to small, linear shear, are studied by means of a generalized Langevin method. We find a symmetric broadening of the director power spectrum and estimate the numerical size of the effect for a typical material. |
