Longitudinal spin-dependent correlations in nuclear matter |

| Abstract: | A Jastrow-type wave function, with the two-body correlation factor depending on the spin-isospin state of the particles, is used for variational calculations of the energy per particle of infinite Fermi systems. Results are presented for nuclear matter and neutron matter using two semi-realistic potentials. |
