Abstract: | Various methods of taking the mobility anisotropy into account in modeling of the behavior of polymer fluids in a simple shear flow are compared. Both the qualitative coincidence of the results of the analysis and the difficulties of quantitatively estimating the anisotropy microparameters on the basis of the available data concerning steady shear are noted. For axial tension the dependence of steady viscosity on tensile stress is considered. This dependence is determined by two independent scalar functions: the slip coefficient and the flow anisotropy coefficient.Barnaul.
