Molecular layering method used to sensitize luminescence from terbium(III) Oxide nanoparticles in porous glass

Abstract:Possibility of obtaining nanoparticles of terbium(III) oxide in a porous glass by impregnating the support with an aqueous solution of TbCl3 and subsequently calcining dried samples in air at 300°C was studied. The molecular layering method was used to modify the surface of encapsulated particles with titanium oxide layers of controlled thickness.
