Electron microscopic study of zinc oxide crystals microstructure crystallizing in a double hexagonal close-packed lattice

Transmission electron microscopy and electron diffraction have been used to investigate ZnO crystals microstructure and to study structural phase transformation. The results indicate that a one-to-one correspondence between lattice defects and phase transformation in ZnO crystals exist.
