Abstract: | (Determination of seven food preservatives by high-performance liquid chromatography.) Solvent-programmed h.p.l.c. is applied for the determination of sorbic, benzoic and salicylic acids and p-hydroxybenzoic acid as well as three of its esters, singly or in mixture; quantitative separation takes less than 20 min. Recoveries varied from 90.9 to 99.4% for the concentration range 200–1000 ppm when the method was applied to mayonnaise. |
