| Abstract: | We consider a mathematical model for the evolution of a single reactant and of the temperature in an isothermal catalyst. The temperature is assumed to be spatially homogeneous and the reaction term is supposed to be singular. Existence, nonexistence and uniqueness of positive solutions are proved together with some bounds. The steady-state problem is also investigated and some information about solutions are given. |
