2‐Phenyl­malon­amide

In the title compound, C₉H₁₀N₂O₂, the amide groups are rotated out of the C(ONH₂)—C(HPh)—C(ONH₂) plane by ca 25–47° and the phenyl ring is almost perpendicular to this plane. The crystal structure is stabilized by intra‐ and intermolecular N—H?O hydrogen bonds.
