Application research of data replication in water conservancy field

Based on the brief introduction of the definition and characteristics of data replication technique,directed at the current status that the geometrically distribution of state water industry management departments results in decentralized water conservancy data,utilizing advanced replication server of Oracle 10g,a new replication model for data maintenance and management system of the branch center’s database for water resources data is developed,in which multi-master replication and snapshot replication are combined organically.The results show that this new hybrid model avoids the inefficiency caused by the traditional replication model,through which databases between each department and headquarter and among them are connected to become a physically-dispersed,logically-unified integrated database.
