The microwave spectrum of cyanogen isocyanate (NCNCO)

The microwave spectrum of cyanogen isocyanate has been measured in the ground state and first three excited states of the lowest frequency vibration. Rotational constants, centrifugal distortion constants, and moments of inertia have been obtained. The molecule is a planar asymmetric rotor in its ground state, but shows considerable evidence of quasilinearity. The dipole moment has been measured, and, along with the structure, is compared with that of related molecules.
