Synthesis and Neuroprotective Properties of Isosteric Analogs of Nicotine

Abstract:A method has been developed for the synthesis of isosteric analogs of nicotine involving ethers of S(-)-1-2-pyrrolidinemethanol and S(-)-1-2-pyrrolidineethanol based on the Mitsunobu reaction. The results of testing the synthesized compounds as calcium channel blockers are presented.
