The Design of a Beamline for X ray Diffraction and Scattering Experiments

This paper introduces the design of an X ray beamline at the Hefei light source, including its optic system, parameters and two main apparatuses the pre toloidal focusing mirror and the double crystal monochromator. When this beamline is completed, it can be used in crystal structure analysis for macro molecular, high resolution X ray diffraction experiments both for single crystal and powder samples, and for multi layer structure studies as well. Moreover, some X ray diffraction and diffuse scattering studies under special conditions (e.g. high pressure, high and low temperature) can be carried out in the beamline.
