Phase properties of odd and even circular states

Abstract:Phase properties of the even and odd circular states arestudied within the Hermitian phase formalism of Pegg and Barnett.Exact analytical formulas for the distribution function and thevariance of the phase operator are obtained and used to examinewhether or not the even and odd circular states exhibitphoton-number squeezing and phase squeezing.
