| Abstract: | [reaction: see text] Enantioselective total syntheses of (+)-cylindricines C-E and (-)-lepadiformine through a common tricyclic intermediate are described here. These syntheses are concise and feature an aza-Prins cyclization and a seldom-used Wharton rearrangement en route to the common intermediate. |
