Abstract: | We derive pseudo-orthogonality relations for both the magnetic and electric eigenmodes of a system of two-level atoms in a sphere configuration. We verify numerically that an arbitrary vector field can be reconstructed to a great accuracy from these eigenmode expansions. We apply this eigenmode analysis to explore superradiance from a sphere with initially uniform polarization. |
