New organophosphorus complexing agents were synthesized: ethylenediamino-N,N'-diethylphosphonic, N,N -dimethylethylenediamino-N,N-dimethylphosphonic, and N,N-dimethylethylenediamino-N, N-diethylphosphonic acids and also the iodomethylate of the last acid.

The acid dissociation constants for these compounds and the stability constants for their complexes with nickel, copper, dysprosium, and uranyl ions were determined.
