| Abstract: | A novel application of H-Mordenite and quarternary ammonium salts to the hydration of α-pinene is reported, which provided a convenient onepot procedure for the stereoselective synthesis of optically active α-terpposed. The dominant formation of α-terpined is supposed to proceed via ion-pair assisted carbonium rearrangement. |
