Abstract: | For a partially inhibited solid electrode a periodic model of non-linear diffusion is defined, permitting the calculation of the attenuation factor, ?, of the diffusion current density as a function of the size and the closeness of active or inactive sites and of the diffusion layer thickness. Values of ? are compared with those obtained from the Landsberg's model 3]. In the case of a disk electrode rotating at N r.p.s., the influence of the characteristic parameters of the inhibiting coverage on the relationship between the diffusion current and N1/2 is analysed in the experimentally accessible laminar flow domain. |
