On Birkhoff-Young quadrature of analytical functions

A simple method is given for constructing quadrature rules for the numerical integration of an analytic function over a line segment in the complex plane. The Birkhoff-Young 5-point, degree 5 rule is obtained as a special case. An error analysis is used to show how rules preferable to the Birkhoff-Young rule are easily developed.
